Refund & Billing Policy
This Refund & Billing Policy forms part of the Terms of Service of 1427454 Alberta Inc., operating as MOMMENT ("MOMMENT"). It applies to purchases of event access, admission passes, subscriptions, and video on demand made through the MOMMENT Services.
1. How Billing Works
Purchases made within our mobile applications are processed by the app store platform through which you made them — the Apple App Store or Google Play. The charge appears on the payment method attached to your app store account, and the platform's billing terms apply alongside this Policy. Prices are shown at the point of purchase and may be presented in USD; your app store or card issuer may convert the amount to your local currency and applicable taxes may be added.
2. Subscriptions and Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your app store account settings (Apple: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions; Google: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
3. Refunds
- App store purchases. Because the app store platform processes the payment, refund requests for in-app purchases must be submitted to that platform: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or Google through Play Store order history. Each platform decides refunds under its own policies.
- MOMMENT-issued refunds. Where a purchase was materially not delivered — for example, an event you purchased access to was never streamed and no recording was made available — contact legal@momment.io with your account email and purchase details, and we will work with you and the platform to make it right. Except where required by law, purchases of content that has been made available to you are otherwise final.
- Consumer rights. Nothing in this Policy limits any refund or remedy you are entitled to under applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act (Alberta).
4. Live Events
Live sport is unpredictable. Schedule changes, delays, and interruptions at the venue, or a producer's failure to go live, are outside MOMMENT's control. Where a purchased event is not streamed and no recording is provided, Section 3 applies. Quality variations, brief interruptions, or partial coverage of an otherwise delivered event are not grounds for a refund.
5. Effect of Refunds on Teams
Where a refunded or charged-back purchase relates to team admission or team content, the corresponding team revenue share is reversed and netted against the team's subsequent payouts, as described in the Producer & Team Agreement.
6. Fraud and Abuse
We may cancel purchases, revoke access, and suspend accounts involved in fraudulent transactions, chargeback abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
7. Changes and Contact
We may update this Policy by posting a revised version at momment.io/legal with an updated effective date.
