Community Guidelines
MOMMENT exists so families, teams, and communities can share amateur sport. Kids are on camera. Grandparents are watching. These Guidelines exist to keep that safe. They apply to everything on the Services — live streams, recordings, highlights, comments, reactions, profiles, and team pages — and they form part of the MOMMENT Terms of Service of 1427454 Alberta Inc., operating as MOMMENT.
1. The Safety of Minors Comes First
This is the rule above all others. The following result in immediate content removal and account termination, and will be reported to law enforcement where appropriate:
- Any sexualization of a minor, in any form, in any context.
- Content that endangers, exploits, harasses, shames, or bullies a minor.
- Attempts to contact, groom, or solicit personal information from a minor through the Services.
Content depicting minors that is offered for public sale must pass MOMMENT's human safety review before it becomes available.
2. Consent
Only stream or post footage you have the right to share. Every identifiable person in your content must have consented — and for minors, a parent or legal guardian must have consented — to the recording and its distribution, and to its sale where it is sold. If a parent or guardian asks us to remove content depicting their child, we will act on verified requests promptly.
3. Prohibited Content and Conduct
Do not post or transmit content, or engage in conduct, that:
- is unlawful, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity;
- contains sexual or sexually suggestive material;
- depicts gratuitous violence or gore, or incites violence;
- promotes hatred against any person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability;
- harasses, threatens, doxxes, or defames any person — including athletes, coaches, officials, and other families;
- infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights (see our Copyright Policy);
- is deceptive, fraudulent, or spam, or misrepresents who you are or who you represent;
- contains malicious code or attempts to compromise the Services or other users' accounts or devices.
4. Streaming Etiquette
- Stream your own team, family, or event. Respect venue, league, and event rules about recording.
- Keep commentary sportsmanlike. Criticism of children, referees, or other families crosses into harassment quickly — don't.
- Comments and reactions are visible to families in the moment. Behave like you're in the stands, because you are.
5. Commercial Integrity
Only teams may sell content, and only their own content, through the features we provide. Do not resell access, share purchased content outside the Services, re-stream MOMMENT content on other platforms, or attempt to move transactions off-platform to avoid the Services' payment mechanisms.
6. Reporting and Enforcement
Report content or conduct that violates these Guidelines using in-app reporting or by emailing legal@momment.io. Depending on severity, enforcement may include content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent account termination — and for anything involving harm to a minor, termination is immediate and without warning. We may preserve and disclose information to law enforcement where we believe someone is at risk or as required by law.
We may update these Guidelines by posting a revised version at momment.io/legal with an updated effective date.
